Description
Crocosmia 'Star of the East' bloeit in de maanden juli tot november met grote oranje bloemen. De bloemen groeien aan lange stevige stengels. Een crocosmia geurt naar saffraan. De naam is afgeleid uit het Grieks (krocus = saffraan). Bij voorkeur staat Crocosmia 'Star of the East' in vochtige goed doorlatende grond op een zonnige tot halfbeschaduwde plek. Crocosmia 'Star of the East' wordt circa 70 cm hoog. Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora 'Star of the East' afdekken bij strenge vorst.
